Defensive Pistol Workshops
These instructor-led Workshops take students through an in-depth study of a specific defensive shooting skill over the course of multiple drills and discussions. Examples include: using cover, decision-making/stress, movement, distance shooting, engaging multiple threats, pistol mounted optics, and more. Understanding that training time and dollars are limited for most folks, we’ve found this approach to work for advanced-level training.
Prerequisite: Students must have a valid Massachusetts LTC (resident or non-resident). These are advanced-level classes. Students who have taken our Defensive Pistol 2.0 class will be well prepared for these Workshops. Others are welcome, as long as they have taken several courses elsewhere (from a recognized academy/instructor) where drawing/holstering and tactical movement and shooting were part of the curriculum.
Note: This course requires mental focus, fine motor skills, and physical activity (periods of rapid movement and kneeling). Please be realistic about your abilities.

Friday, November 21, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Focus: Low-Light (6 spots open) NOTE: Students must bring a tail-cap activated handheld flashlight. Weapon-mounted lights are optional. Techniques using both will be covered.
Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Focus: Shooting with Pistol Mounted Optics (8 spots open)
Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Focus: Movement (9 spots open)
Price: $80 per student ($70 for DF&GC members). After submitting your registration form (below), you will be contacted regarding payment. We accept Venmo and credit cards. Do not pay until contacted with either a credit card or Venmo invoice from us. Payment is typically due within 24 hours of invoicing in order to reserve your spot in the class.
This class is held outdoors at Danvers Fish & Game Club in Middleton, MA, and both club members and non-members may register to attend.
