The shotgun is one of the most versatile and effective firearms available to civilians. Running it in a defensive role differs greatly from how it’s employed in hunting or sporting clays. Note: All of our shotgun classes are applicable to both pump-action and semi-auto shotgun shooters.
In Defensive Shotgun 1.0, participants will learn:
-Foundational elements of defensive shotgun shooting and how to properly manage recoil (with correct stance and mounting)
-Tactical and emergency reloading
-Shooting from cover
-Defensive mindset, shot accountability, and more
Note: This course is for those with a Massachusetts gun license (FID or LTC) who possess at least basic shotgun shooting skills and who practice proper gun safety. Also, this course requires some physical activity, including periods of rapid movement. Please be realistic about your abilities.

Price: $135 per student (DFGC members receive a 10% discount). After submitting your registration form (below), you will be contacted regarding payment. We accept Venmo and credit cards. Do not pay until contacted with either a credit card or Venmo invoice from us. Payment is typically due within 24 hours of invoicing in order to reserve your spot in the class.
This class is held outdoors at Danvers Fish & Game Club in Middleton, MA, and both club members and non-members may register to attend.
