This three-hour class is meant to bridge the gap between Pistol Skill Builder and Defensive Pistol 1.0.

What we’ll cover in this class:
-Defensive shooting stance, as well as a review of grip, sight picture, and other fundamentals
-Safe drawing, shooting, and holstering of the pistol with an OWB holster
-Proper technique to quickly and efficiently reload the pistol while maintaining situational awareness
-Introduction to defensive mindset, shooting to stop the threat, and shot accountability

Note (PLEASE READ):
A valid Massachusetts LTC (resident or non-resident) is required.
This class is NOT an introduction to pistol shooting. It is an introduction to defensive pistol shooting. Prior to taking this class, you should be very familiar with how your pistol operates AND be able to consistently achieve a 60% hit rate into a 10-inch circle at 7 yards (firing 10 rounds at a time from a low-ready position [not from the holster] and be able to meet the standard at least two times in a row [20 seconds being the par time for each 10-round attempt)—using the pistol you will bring to class. Please do not register for this class until you can meet the accuracy standard. You will also be expected to demonstrate and practice excellent gun safety. Pistol Skill Builder is not a required prerequisite for this class, but you are encouraged to take the Skill Builder first, especially if you’ve had no basic pistol shooting training and/or struggle to meet the accuracy standard.

This course requires mental focus, fine motor skills, and standing for long periods. Please be realistic about your abilities.
