


Defensive Rifle 1.0 is an introductory course to familiarize students with the safe and effective operation of the semi-automatic modern sporting rifle. The curriculum is specifically geared toward civilian use of these rifles as defensive arms. If you own one of these modern sporting rifles, you should get some defensive rifle training.
Participants will learn:
-The fundamentals of shooting the modern sporting rifle
-How to load, unload/clear the rifle
-Proper use of a sling
-Shooting from various positions
-Quick and efficient reloading and clearing common malfunctions
-Basic tactical drills
Note: Participants must possess and present a valid Mass. LTC license. Also, this course requires physical activity, including periods of rapid movement and kneeling. Please be realistic about your abilities.
