The shotgun is one of the most versatile and effective defensive arms available to civilians. Most problems associated with running the shotgun can generally be traced back to poor or no training.
In Tactical Shotgun 1.0, participants will learn:
-The abilities and limitations of the defensive shotgun
-Fundamentals of shooting and how to properly manage recoil
-Tactical and emergency reloading
-Multiple shot scenarios with movement
-Shooting the defensive shotgun from cover
Note: This course is for those with a Massachusetts gun license who possess at least basic shotgun shooting skills and who practice proper gun safety. Also, this course requires physical activity, including periods of rapid movement and kneeling. Please be realistic about your abilities.
If you do not have a defensive-type shotgun, we have a limited number of 12 gauge guns to loan out during the course–you will still need to supply ammo and all other gear on the Equipment List. Please email us at paladingrouptraining@gmail.com before registering to inquire about the availability of loaner guns for your course date. An additional fee of $15 will be added to your invoice to reserve a loaner gun.

Price: $135 per student ($120 for DF&GC members). After submitting your registration form (below), you will be contacted regarding payment. We accept Venmo and credit cards. Do not pay until contacted with either a credit card or Venmo invoice from us. Payment is typically due within 24 hours of invoicing in order to reserve your spot in the class.
This class is held outdoors at Danvers Fish & Game Club in Middleton, MA, and both club members and non-members may register to attend.
