A fun, yet challenging, two-person-team competition. Presented by Paladin Group Training and Danvers Fish & Game Club’s Training Range. New this year: Names will be drawn out of a hat to determine teams.

Details:
Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 8:30am to 1:30pm (In case of extreme weather/range conditions, we have a back-up date of Sunday, Feb. 15)
-Mandatory Safety and Medical Briefings start at 8:45am; shooting begins at 9am
-Six, two-person teams (12 participants); names will be drawn out of a hat to determine teams.
-Multiple stages (distances will vary from 50 to 7 yards). Skills learned in Defensive Rifle classes will be put to the test. (Rifle only—no handguns.)
-First, second, and third place prizes for each team–donated by Paladin Group Training

$30 per person (all proceeds go to the club’s Training Range)
-Pre-registration required; no same-day signups.
-Hot lunch included and served at conclusion (around 1:45pm).
(Paladin instructors and volunteers will be running the event and will not be competing. If you would like to volunteer to help, drop us a line.)

Prerequisites: Those who have taken Paladin’s Defensive Rifle 2.0 are welcome to participate in this competition. Others may signup if they have taken several defensive rifle courses elsewhere (from a recognized academy/instructor) where tactical shooting and movement were part of the curriculum. Participants must present a valid Massachusetts LTC (resident or non-resident) on event day.

Note: This event will involve physical activity (including running and kneeling) in cold weather conditions. Please be realistic about your abilities.

Equipment—about the same as the equipment list for Defensive Rifle 2.0 class except ammo count will be lower. (At least 150 rounds per person will be needed for the event–bring more, though.)

This event will be held outdoors at the Training Range at Danvers Fish & Game Club in Middleton, MA, and both club members and non-members may register to attend.

Price: $30 per student (DFGC members receive a 10 percent discount). After submitting your registration form (below), you will be contacted regarding payment. We accept Venmo and credit cards. Do not pay until contacted with either a credit card or Venmo invoice from us. Payment is typically due within 24 hours of invoicing in order to reserve your spot.
